XVR is back...

Postby vw virus on Tue Jul 22, 2008 2:29 pm

Yes folks, we are going to relaunch XVR brand...but there's a stack of work before we start celebrating.

So, who's interested?

PM me or post your details on this thread. By the end of this week, I will post a what, where, how and who and we can take it from there.

I'm going to need all the help I can get, so please feel free to offer whatever expertise, connections, contacts you have that will make this venture a success.

You are on the money Astro. XVR is about legal, controlled racing.

This is what I have thus far. The official launch date will be the 29 August - "Friday Night Drags" at Killarney. I want it to be BIG!!! HUGE!!! XTREME!!!

What's needed:

- serious competitors, cars/drivers representing the brand and the vision
- someone to volunteer to do PR...any takers?
- sponsor to get cars race ready...hopefully we can chat to Paul @ MAC (if there any other possibilities. PLEASE let me know)
- event sponsors...to cover food, fuel, entry fee, etc.
- other sponsors...eg. sewercyde and his magic potions or magesh and his super shine goodies (YES, I'm hinting!)
- tyre sponsor would be nice...I'm waiting on Sarel/Falken to get back to me

That's all I can think of now. As you can see, I need lotsa help.

Astro & Dubsketeer - let me know where your areas of expertise are...or where you want to fit in. Thanks guys.

I will presume then that XV will also sign up with MSA ?
If so, then I'm joining XV like tomorrow.

shiny cars and drags dont really go together....

Hmm looks like now one wants to address the MSA issue.....
Sewy ??

Since Killarney is also an MSA sanctioned entity, i don't think they will alow now MSA affiliated events to run there, let alone alone MSA licensed cars to run on non MSA sanctioned events.

So I ask again, will XV then be MSA affiliated ?

We will only get MSA Affiliation if we are gonna organize events ourself ... for now, THAT mountain is too big. We would probably start off small by representing the XVR brand on the track at Killarney events 8) .... baby steps .... getting MSA affiliation costs money, we don't have it :P

What we could do is, like GTA Mods, get more involved at Killarney with events, helping out etc. etc. and then once we are established enough, move on to bigger and better things.

For now, I guess, we just want to get guys interested in racing again, a VERY expensive hobby!!!!

Astro, you will now be the spokesperson for XVR!!! And that's the bottom line coz Stone Cold said so.

XV is going to become MSA affliated but it's not only expensive, we also have to meet certain criteria as a club.

To start things off, we are going to launch the brand and to do that, we are going to need cars to run.

So, who is going to run. I need your name, cell number and car details.
