Not that i'm aware.... i was caught doing 125 in a 60 zone and to date still waiting for the court date  and this was 3 years ago.

160 is only 40km's from 120...anything past 200 and i think you will be with papa for the evening.

I dunno man.. read this exert from News24 posted today:

"Two other drivers were also arrested for driving at speeds of 164km/h and 169km/h.

They were all expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court soon.

On Saturday, eight speedsters were arrested in Brakpan and Benoni.

The highest was travelling in 158km/h on the R23 near Mans road in Brakpan.

He said he was late for work.

Five were caught travelling at speeds between 142km/h and 153 km/h on the same road.

Two others were arrested in Benoni for allegedly driving at over 107km/h on Main Reef and Garysteel which are 70km/h zone, said Kgasago."

These days there are ghost cars on the roads here in Pta and around Jhb. Mk6 and Mk7 GTI's with mods, BM's, and a few Audi S3's that are also modded. If you are cruising along at 149kmh, they will leave you alone essentially. Go over 150 and they will start hunting you down and arrest you.

Happened to 3 people I know.

in my opinion it all depends on what side of the bed these guys wake up in the morning.

I went screaming down voortrekker road in pursuit of a very irritating VVL reaching speeds well over 120km in peak hours and all the time while we nipping between lanes and dodging cars guess whos taling us.

So the VVl turns off towards grandwest and i continue on towards kensington but the robots caught me so i stopped gingerly no worries.....in the corner of my eye i see the nose of a teal vw mk6 parking next to me in my blind spot and im like "why the fcuk doesnt this guy pull forward'

anyway robots green and i pull away....he is still driving in my blind spot thru all my gears till i hit 3rd and decide to plant it...boy oh boy what a mistake....the minute i put foot sirens and lights every where im like WTF is happening??

long story shot i honestly thought id have my car impounded that day...my car was lowered and my engine wasnt a fcuk legal... guess what happens....

Officer Savage gets out (nice surname for a ghost squad ne) walks around my car and asks "do you know what you were doing?" and im like yes im terribly sorry i know i was speeding and it was a stupid mistake and blah blah...so he's like "well seeing that the other driver pulled off im not going to fine you but if the 2 of you continued i would have taken both your cars away from you"....i was like fcuuuuuuk me that was close....he goes on to say " 1stly you never EVER dice down voortrekker road" "2ndly if you dice wear a seat belt" .....twilight zone hear i come ahahaha

had to change my underwear when i got home but i reckon it all boils down to the extent of the offence and the mood of the dude with the badge on

I'm more worried about the amount actually... I wouldn't think they would actually arrest... now that would be over the top k*k.

Yip... Camera...but that was like 3 years ago and my lawyer friend says that after 5 years (at most) the statute expires - so ja.

I'm pretty sure i will probably pay a moerse fine and have my license either suspended or revoked, but it happend 3 years ago...since then i got married, traded to a 1400, gone bald basically gotten old so the judge cannot be a n@@i for something i did 3 years ago.
