I saw them working under the wetton road brige over the weekend - you have to look up to see the cables. Dunno about kromboom....

Affirmative, the skelm baast!ds   Cameras are on the underside of both bridges (Kromboom and wetton rd) going both ways.
They cameras look exactly like the ones found on the lamp posts along the N2.

warning it doesnt flash. it is average speed it calculates the time it takes from 1 camera (under wetton road) to the other camera (kroomboom road). it takes a pic of the front of the car (or license) and registers it to a database. and it picks it up at kromboom, the database calculates the speed from the time the car started at wetton... well thats my understanding cause thats the only way that average speeds can be taken into account. hope this helps

Yeah that is the setup that the UK had/have for years and apparantly it does curb the heavy footed drivers...
But by law they have to inform you - that is why there we huge boards stating average speed trapping area, which in all fairness they did, Ready D was then asking what the mense's opinion was about it for like ages before it was setup...

They are planning to do the same on the N1 and N2 so this average speed k*k will be around for a long time to come. :salut:

i know it's an old post but you will get mense fyling down there not knowing this so it's a public service announcement.
