Guidelines on posting pictures on the forum

Postby Krakie on Sun Oct 11, 2009 9:16 pm

A few people have askes this question. Don't know where to post it but I thought I'd get something going.

Krakie wrote:To upload pics you have to use a site that hosts pictures, such as photobucket.com or photostand.co.za. I know photostand has a guest upload so you don't need an account but can make one. Once the pics are uploaded copy the link that the site gives to the pic and then when you post on top of the text box you will see an img button click that and it should open image tags then paste the link inbetween them.
Like this but without the asterix:
[img*]paste link here[/img*]
If you use photobucket and you hover the mouse over the pic, a drop down list of links appear, copy the third one which should read share on forum then you can just paste it directly into the text box as it will already have the image tags

if I missed anything out please add it below.

To put a pic in you avatar:

Go to user control panel -> profile -> edit avatar. Now copy the direct link of the picture in the space provided and make the size 60x60 as it states

To put a pic in your signature:

Same steps as above but go to edit signature and follow the steps as Krakie posted above  Although reduce the image size to something like 240x160 on the hosting site 8)
