Minor things ive done so far on the car:
*Sanded down and resprayed minor surface rust under front bumper
*Sprayed my tow hook red
*Fitted single headlight grill and blacked out the badge
*Cut the air intake to make the intake a bit bigger.
*Made new mounts for the front speakers and fitted the the speakers (Dixon 5")
*Waiting for my Sony cdx gt310

Some other stuff I did:
*Car stood under a tree for some time, cleaned up all leafs and boom k*k out under the raintray and removed the hatch rubber seal as there was also a lot of foliage and cleaned that out also.
*Engine flush, cleaned out the sump, removed the oil pump and cleaned it also, followed by oil change.

#The Plan for 2013#

2E motor - Mikes place quoted me R5500 for the motor
210mm flywheel with new Sachs kit ofcourse
Powerflow mated with the Branch I have
Will be using carb setup for now
40mm drop
Proper bottom and top (if I can find) strut braces

It will be a diy conversion as far as possible so expect lots of questions to come :D.

For now im busy collecting all the necessary bits like the blanking plates, clutch and flywheel.

Nice work there Goose.
I reckon you should save-up and go fuel injection 1time, nevermind if it takes another 3months of patience
Neat car btw and low mileage!
If you're in control, you're not going fast enough!

Hola guys

Dumb question, ive heard you can use standard flywheel when going 2l so why do most choose to go with 210mm flywheel instead? One dude told me its better to use standard flywheel as its liter than the 2l flywheel hence its better, but than again he's not a mechanic.

Im also considering getting poly mounts. Anyone know where I can buy them? Goldwagen im guessing

The plan is to buy all the necessary bits like the blanking plates, mounts etc. Come March holiday ill be doing the conversion one way or the other.... 1.6 se mur

PLEASE take the amp off the box and rather mount it against your back seat or something!

From what I read, you should not mount your amp on the box because the vibrations of the sub can damage the amp. :|
I mounted my amp on the one side of my back seat and the box is placed on the other side, just an idea :thumright:
