Nothing much has changed on the mk3 (aka Turtle) because I decided to rather spend my money on appreciating assets :thumleft:
Since the last update I've only maintained the car and fitted a 35% smash and grab tint and small systempie (small amp and 10" Hertz sub) :)

Anyway, I was going to sell the car soon and thought I'd send it away for a buff and polish and some minor rust removal before putting it up for sale but then it came back like this and I had a change of heart  :P

So now I'm on a mission to restore it properly :thumleft:
A/C is not working since I got the car and was told to replace the condensor, which I got one today for R200  (OEM one, just btw :thumleft: ) Now just to fit it.

I'll also be doing the following over the next few months:
Redo rooflining
New shocks (was gonna go coilies one time but at minimum 4.5k a set, I don't think so :| )
Stainless steel exhaust (still skitting original 3 box system  )
Rims (would like a set of Eggies to stick to the OEM+ theme  )

That's about it but I'll update as I go along :salut:

Been looking at rims over the past few days and actually really like how the Santa Monicas look on a mk3! 8)
BUT where in the world am I going to find a set? :| and it's also 5x100.

Otherwise, we'll see in a few months what I come out with :eye:

More low they said, it will be fun they said :o

After fitting it at Razor's place (shot cuzin!!!!)

Image

Then when I got home I couldn't get up the driveway as the undercarriage was knocking against the rail of the gate

Image

I eventually got up going sideways and sh!t then proceeded to raise the rear a bit and this was the result 8)

Image

And after a few speedbumps (aka mountains!), the whole bottom part of my lip looks like this :| I think I need to raise the front a little

Image

Next up is the exhaust (my standard boxes already hollow lol), which will hopefully be done after payday at Pro-fit :D

....and prepare yourself for broken vr6 lips they said...

nice boet, that's how i ended up with having a box full of vr6 lips....best lippie i'll advise you to get is the MK4 rear bumper spoiler.. Its R180 at Cpt autoparts in Bellville opposite the middestad mall.

I found the previous height was too low and rather impractical considering the size of our speed bumps! :|

So I raised it a bit and it's still scraping everywhere! The lip is also shot, time for a new one :)

Still saving for that perfect rim
