Postby yeo786 on Thu Nov 10, 2011 9:51 pm

Howzit guys. Will post pics on the build and updates on my Citi Golf from now on.
It's my project, planning on going big in the future.
1st step is going 2l 8V, ADY motor and run carb
Getting there slowly but surely...
Watch this space

Why carb? budget constraints? My personal preference is to go EFI in one go...

Standard carb. Will get to MP9 Injection later on, yeah budget constraints lol
Already purchased everything, The Engine, clutchkit, flywheel, clutch cable, 1800 carb from Goldwagon, some transmisson parts, Brake discs and pads.
I'm planning on purchasing a part at a time then eventually slap on the EFi.
Will post pics later...

The 1800 Carb, also from Goldwagon (Paid R749 for it like an a$$ )

My current carb I had on the 1300motor was a pirate and bust :silent: , so stashed it aside

The gearbox stuff needed for the DGG Tranny:
2 oil seals, the rod push, a bush and a thrust plate(Keeping it as a spare since one already came with the clutch kit)

Brake Pads and discs (Current one's were shot):

To make the carb fit on the ADY motor I was told to buy this:

richiecti wrote:Basically all you will need is the adaptor plate which blocks the injection holes, available at goldwagen.
i did this convestion the wkend in my cti as my kject was shot.
regards
richiecti

Goldwagon has it for R115  Thought it would be alot more expensive

Suggestions and opinions are highly appreciated :thumright:
